A 25-year-old female who was in second trimester of her pregnancy was brought by her husband with severe abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. On examination, she was found febrile (temperature: 103.1°F) pulse was feeble and tachycardia with rate of 110 beats/min, BP was 90/56 mm of Hg. Blood test results showed Hb = 5.6 gm%, WBC=22,000 /mm3, platelets = 1,30,000, liver enzymes border line elevated. Bedside ultrasound showed a dead fetus inside uterus. On repeated questioning her husband reveals that the couple already have 2 daughters and the last day an attempted abortion was done by a village quack with a stick. The condition of the patient deteriorated, and she died. Police was informed and body was sent for postmortem examination. – (💀💀💀💀)- Define
